A Plot

Alli and Drew are spending time with each other, and she really wants to be his girlfriend but Drew is reluctant to put a label on their companionship. Alli is happy with hanging with Drew, but she wants the relationship to have meaning. Jenna and KC give her the idea to double date, and Alli presents this idea to Drew. Drew balks out due to his failing grades, and Alli sorta teases him for it to which she gets snapped at. Mr. Perrino then assigns the class an essay, something Drew is dreading. Alli tries to help him out with his essay, but Drew again rejects her advances, citing he needs a good grade on his essay to please his mother. Alli is at the breaking point, and she decides to write the complete essay for him in order for him to attend the dance and get his mom off his back. She hands it in for him, and tells Drew but Drew is now freaked. As Perrino looks at the essay, he's impressed. However, Drew can't really back up the essay's facts. As Perrino chews Drew out, Alli comes forward and tells him she was the one who wrote the essay. Mr. Perrino sends her to the office, and docks Drew down a letter grade, hedging his bets.

Afterwards, Alli meets up with Drew and happy she saves him from big trouble. Drew is mad at her for doing his work and making him look stupid. Drew tells her that the reason that he was Playing Hard to Get was that he puts girls on a trial period before slapping the girlfriend label on them. And Alli failed. And he tells her "for a genius, you aren't very smart."

B Plot

Holly J is still aching after her kinda break-up with Declan. Fiona offers a pep talk and lends Holly J her Zeno Hotspot but Holly J is still down. Meanwhile, the Band Slam is off and Sav is upset. He and Holly J lament over their lives and they both come up with having a hoedown dance for the school. They planned the dance at Above The Dot. While Fiona and Holly J are SAT prepping in the halls, Sav comes and talks about the dance. Fiona teases Holly J that Sav likes her but Holly J insists they are Just Friends.

At the dance prep, Sav and Holly J are planning decorations and Sav asks her out. But Holly J balks and says she has to work. But she's intrigued. She invites him to come by after her shift. At Little Miss Steaks, Holly and Sav hang out and share nachos. The next day, Sav invites her to skip class in order to help him blow balloons. They have fun with helium and they goof around and Sav plants a kiss on her. Holly J is taken aback but the kiss was nice. She leaves Sav in a hurry.

C Plot

Connor is asleep in media immersion. He spent the entire night playing Realm of Doom and chatting away with his online girlfriend LoveQueen16 who wants to meet. His online girlfriend is really into him and Connor again spends the entire night chatting with her. Dave and Wesley tease him for spending his time online and talking with this online chick. But their words fall on deaf ears as Connor spends more time online.
