What do you guys think? I'd like to have an image and some non-video game examples in there, but outside of my personal wants I think it meets the quality standard.
Talk:Mirror Mook
I'm fine with that.
Looks launchable to me.
As for an image, I don't know video games well enough to know whether the lead image in this article qualifies. (I also don't know video games well enough to know what it's from. In case it does, direct link.)
That's Palette Swap, which has a very similar image already.
Three votes to launch, no objections in a month. And there are a few examples from works that aren't video games. Pushing this baby chick out of the nest.
Good looking.
Far as the page image, I have a candidate in a screenshot from this video. Here's the screenshot itself so you can judge whether or not it's good enough prior to any uploading.
...Um. Lacking any context at all for that image, I cannot in any way see anything about the trope in it.
Which is why I linked the video! They're Shadow Links, generating from an actual Dark Mirror.
Whenever you get around to sorting examples, @Looney Toons, would you consider moving some of these examples to Mirror Boss? I figure the boss-related ones are worth at least copying over, but would you rather do that or move them entirely?
CC: @Robkelk, @Goo Monster, @Lequinni, and @HeneryVII to get more experienced-troper input.
Sorting examples? Why would I be sorting examples? They're already in the right media types, aren't they?
I was talking more in terms of example order (e.g. chronological, alphabetical) rather than the sections.
Within sections, examples are not normally sorted by any order. Besides, we require new examples to be added to the end of their sections, which would quickly put them out of order again were they in any kind of order.
I see, thank you for clarifying.
There's still the question of using the examples to further populate the Mirror Boss subtrope - would copying them over be enough, or do some of these warrant being moved over entirely?
Copying should be sufficient. Tropes frequently overlap. Sorry, I forgot to address the real question you asked and got caught up in the trivia.
All good, all good.
