Visible Pilot, Invisible Vehicle or Visible Driver, invisible vehical A vehicle that is invisible (or at least mostly transparent), but the driver/pilot can still be seen from outside the vehicle.

Examples of Invisible Vehicle, Visible Pilot include:

Comic Books

Western Animation

Real Life

  • In WWI someone came up with a plane that had lots of parts that were clear. The engine and pilot were still visible, but from a distance, much of the plane being ‘invisible’ was helpful (e.g. avoiding detection from anti aircraft spotters). It was regarded as a failure as after being exposed to the sun for prolonged periods of time (no more than a few weeks, I don't remember how long), the invisible parts would degrade in a fashion that rendered them visible.
