Sylvester Cat and Tweety Bird/YMMV

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • Jerkass Woobie: Sylvester is a conniving predator in most his shorts, however he is always completely out of his foes' league and earns more than a few solid beatings in nearly every appearance he has. Not to mention he was often at the recieving end of abuse from unprovoked adversaries as well. His neuroses and small number of victories even compared to other Looney Tunes Butt Monkeys makes him arguably the most pitiful foe in the series after Wile E Coyote.
  • Motive Decay: Later cartoons put more spotlight on a protective bulldog (later named Hector in Sylvester And Tweety Mysteries) who guarded over Tweety. As such more emphasis was put on Sylvester trying to despose of the dog to reach Tweety. Some cases evolve more into a vengeful Escalating War for his constant pummellings than directly going after Tweety (eg. "Greedy For Tweety").
  • My Real Daddy: Friz Freleng for Tweety. He was the primary director for most Sylvester shorts as well, though other directors did make notable use of him.
  • Team Rocket Wins: Sylvester never won against Tweety, though he did win in a couple of alternate roles.
  • Viewer Gender Confusion: See "Samus Is a Girl" on the main page.
