  • Executive Meddling: The infamous Contemptible Cover from the second game is a pretty infamous example that the Pickford brothers consider a classic case of "the lack of imagination of Americans." The third game's cover suffered from this as well, with Ste Pickford's original cover of a Knight in Shining Armor being thrown out for something similar to Ironsword's cover.
  • What Could Have Been: A fourth game title Lasersword was planned, but never made due to the studio behind Ironsword and Visions of Power going under. The third game's original ending had the three princesses finding out that they had all promised to marry the same hero.
    • Visions of Power was originally going to be titled Silversword.
