A Wikipedia Syntaxer is someone using MediaWiki markup, which is correct on this wiki, as it is powered by the MediaWiki engine.

Tv Tropes uses a wiki engine called PmWiki, and on that engine, words are in CamelCase, though they do have support for Wikipedia Style "free links" (word spaces).

This trope is a reference to one of the most well known wikis of all time, which we refer to as The Other Wiki.
