Not for content but for organizational reasons. We do not create subpages of this type in the manner of TVTropes-style namespacing. As an audience reaction trope this content would probably be best included on the YMMV subpage.

Thanks for the two images -- especially since you included the license information! We usually have to harp on that with new users, and we've actually had a few who've actively refused to give the license info we're legally required to have. So again, thanks!

However, for future reference: Please include a link to where you got the image in the description of the image. We've had a couple catastrophic events over the past seven years where we lost image files but not their pages in the wiki; having that info handy will make it easy for us to re-acquire any image we may lose in a future disaster.

Also, please try to include any relevant categories as part of an upload. I've added the obvious ones to your files, but in the future if you could take care of this as part of your upload, we'd be very grateful.

Thanks!

Alright. I will think of that from now on.

Looney Toons (talkcontribs)

I can save you a little effort -- the categories for the various kinds of licensing, like "Fair Use Images", are already coded into the template that gets added to the page when you choose a license at upload time. You don't have to add them manually.

Hi, Heart... I've just rejected your new page for Mister Metokur -- not because of the content but because it was missing pretty much all the needed markup except for the tropelist template. Please resubmit the page using the ATT Page Creator, which you can reach either through that link or as the first link under "Troping Utilities" in the menu along the left edge of every page. Use the first text box and button ("Create New Page") and then select "Creators Page" from the Boilerplate drop-down menu at the top of the edit page that then appears. You can then insert your content into the template that populates the edit box. Don't delete anything you don't understand unless it says it's optional and you can remove it if you don't need it.

Once you resubmit it with all the markup it needs, we'll see about getting it through Moderation.

Thanks!

Another note for you. Per the "Section Headers" part of our Style Guide, don't add "== References ==" or "== Notes ==" to any of our Trope, Work, or Creator pages or their subpages. If we had wanted such a header to appear on our pages, we would have coded it as part of the {{reflist}} template.

Welcome to the wiki!

And thank you for creating pages for Team Night Saturn and Movie Rehab.

Just one thing... if you create another page, could you use the page templates, please? That way, the headers and footers will be in the pages as soon as they're created.

Heart (talkcontribs)

Thank you very much for the very important advice. I will take these words into my heart (no pun intended) whenever I get to add a new page again.👍

Another thing to do when creating new pages is do not copy and paste from TV Tropes. Doing this is copyright violation -- TV Tropes and All The Tropes have different Creative Commons licenses, and as a result we cannot legally use TVT content from after July 2012. Unless you were the only person to ever work on that page and can grant us a license to its entire content, it cannot be used here. (This might be the case with Team Night Saturn -- only one person seems to have ever worked on it at TVT, and if you are "minikiss" you can grant us that license. But Movie Rehab was worked on by at least five persons, and all must give their permission for it to be copied here.)

In any case, both pages have been deleted in order to protect the wiki from legal liability.

You are free to recreate them completely in your own words, if you care to.

Before you do, though, I recommend that you review the following pages that you may find helpful:

Also, I suggest you read whatever's the most relevant of these pages:

Finally we strongly recommend that you read All The Tropes:How We Do Bans Around Here. This isn't a threat -- this is the wiki policy strictly controlling how and when user bans can be applied by an Admin. We want you to be aware that unlike TVT, we do not ban users on whims or because we're cranky.

Thank you, and I hope your future contributions to the wiki will be more successful!

Hello there,

I've been trying to re-open the Team Night Saturn page with re-written content so that it wouldn't be an exact copy of tvtropes.

Well I'be been trying to re-open it for half a year now but for some reason I'm always getting told that there's supposedly an error with the database but if that's the case then said error should've already been taken care of by now.

I hope you can help to fix this error. Take care.

Robkelk (talkcontribs)

That's very odd... @GethN7, you know more about the wiki code than I do. Any ideas?

GethN7 (talkcontribs)

That is strange. Might be a remnant of those buggy pages we had awhile back, meaning the page needs deleted so it can be recreated to the point it's able to be redone from scratch to flush the issue.

Heart (talkcontribs)

Do you guys have any answers yet? See ya later.

Derivative (talkcontribs)

Giving people more than 3 hours is usually a good idea. I say that as someone who has no technical involvement in the actual operational aspects of the backend.

Heart (talkcontribs)

My apologies. It was impatient from me. However my problem wasn't really that it wasn't solved right away rather than me wanting to know if there's a slight assumption what problem it could be and how long it would possibly take to be fixed.

GethN7 (talkcontribs)

Okay, you can recreate the page, whatever there was seems to have cleared up, but please bear in mind our copyright and manual of style policies from now on.

Heart (talkcontribs)

Alright will do. However it still doesn't seem to work as it still shows the database error screen. Please feel free and take your time if there was still an undiscovered error. I'll be patient and appreciate your help anytime I receive it.

You may need to clear your internet cache, you could be seeing remnants of old data.
