Apologies, I'm new round here: I set up most of the BÖC's LP's as works pages on TV Tropes and I'd like to find out how to do this here?

Just as on TV Tropes, Works Pages Are a Free Launch.

Before you start, check out our Works Page Guidelines and Style Guide, so you know how we do things and the bare minimums (and everything else) we like to see in work pages.

The easiest way to create a new work page is to use the ATT Page Creator, which you can reach through the link I just made there, or as the first item in the "Troping Utilities" section of the menu that runs along the left edge of every page in most skins. Open that page, find the field that reads "Enter new work name", put the name of the work in it, then click the button that will light up bright blue when you do. That'll put you into an open editor pre-populated with a skeleton work page that has advice and instructions on it, into which you can just drop your content. (Don't delete anything you don't understand unless the comments say you can.)

As far as work names are concerned, it's probably best if you follow Wikipedia's lead. Which means most of their albums don't need a media type or other parenthetical note in their names, but "Blue Öyster Cult (album)" and "Some Enchanted Evening (Blue Öyster Cult album)" will. (And matching Wikipedia's names will make the Wikipedia buttons on those pages work without extra effort on your part.)

You'll want to add the following categories to the bottom of each page:

[[Category:Blue Öyster Cult]]
[[Category:Blue Öyster Cult albums]]
[[Category:Music]]
[[Category:Rock Music]]
[[Category:Albums Index]]

That should cover about everything. But if you have any questions, just post them in this thread and one of us should see them quickly enough.

Oh, and just as a reminder, as a new user your edits go into our Moderation queue, where an admin needs to approve them before they appear on the wiki. Please be patient; especially on weekends there isn't always an admin free to pass your work, though we do try to get things approved in 24 hours or less.
