We have rejected your proposed page "Aiken"

...primarily because it was missing all necessary page markup required to incorporate it into the wiki properly. When creating pages, please use the Trope Workshop for new trope candidates, and the ATT Page Creator for all other pages, at least until you know how to create new pages from scratch with all the necessary markup. Both tools can be found in the "Troping Utilities" section of the menu that runs along the left edge of every wiki page.

I should note, however, that future iterations of this proposed page may also fail moderation even if properly marked up, primarily because it is out of wiki scope. A religion made up from scratch by its one follower lacks sufficient relevance to the culture at large which informs the works that are created within it to qualify even as a Useful Note. If it belongs anywhere on the wiki it would be as a subpage of your userpage -- not in the main namespace.

Can you help me merge this into Mune Shinri? I want it as part of the Mune Shinri page, since (1) Mune Shinri already exists which removes the need to make a new article, and (2) the religion is really relevant only within the book that's published about it anyway.

Since I haven't the text with me, and it was rejected though, I can't do that any more except from memory. So I may need help.

So the page would be changing Mune Shinri:

(Information explaining Aiken more, leading up to around where it mentions Munri Shinri, to give a better sense of background for the book itself)

then

(Current main text of Mune Shinri, any that isn't redundant)

then

(Tropes used within Mune Shinri, which I might at some point expand)

Is it okay if I try to do this myself? Or would you prefer to do it to make sure it's done right? I'm not very confident I would do it right, though. Also, I guess that squashes the idea of including it in list of religions.

Well, I'll try editing Mune Shinri, and if it doesn't seem any good, you can reject the changes I guess, and tell me what to fix.

Done. Hopefully that edit is okay...

Your proposed edit to "Mune Shinri" has been rejected...

... not because of any problem with the change itself, but because in addition to the new information you added to the page, desired white space was removed from the markup of every trope in the trope list below it. This is something we have seen the Visual Editor do in the past (and which we don't want done to pages). We recommend that you resubmit your change using the Source editor ("Edit Source" in the top-of-page menu, instead of just "Edit"), which we know doesn't mangle the page like the Visual Editor is prone to doing, and we'll approve it.

Thanks.

I've decided to do something else, then. More under the Aiken rejection...

Just a heads up...

Because you haven't edited the wiki in almost a year, you might not have noticed or known, but we had a massive storm of spammers last December/January and as a result implemented the Moderation extension. In short, this puts all edits for users not in the "automoderated" group into a queue where they have to be approved by the staff before they actually get applied to the wiki.

I'm telling you this because your change to Number of the Beast did something wonky to the markup on a whole lot of other entries, and rather than approve your edit and then change everything else back, I've manually inserted the actual new example you added.

I also want to note that per our Style Guide, new examples should go at the end of the section they're added to, not in a random spot in the middle, so rather than where you put it, I've added it to the end of "Anime and Manga".

Yeah, I noticed there was a delay.

I put it there because it was alphabetically before Yu-Gi-Oh.

Looney Toons (talkcontribs)

That may be so, but that's not the wiki style. Just telling you.
