Copyright Violation

I have just reverted your recent edit to Dethroning Moment of Suck (Darth Wiki)/Western Animation/My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic because it was nearly 50K of text copied directly from TV Tropes' corresponding page. Now you've been a registered user here since December 2019, you should know that this is a copyright violation -- TV Tropes and All The Tropes have different Creative Commons licenses, and as a result we cannot legally use TVT content from after July 2012. Consequently it has been deleted in order to protect the wiki from legal liability.

You are free to recreate the deleted material completely in your own words, if you care to, but given that it was a long series of other people's opinions, I suspect that you're probably not going to be interested in doing so.

Regardless, I strongly suggest you read (or reread) our page on Copyrights before you cut and paste any more text from TVT. And I trust it will not be necessary to check all your other contributions against TVT just to be sure they were all legal.

Regardless, please understand that this is a formal first warning according to our guidelines on how bans are handled at ATT. If you illegally copy text from TV Tropes to All The Tropes again -- or if we discover that any of your past contributions are copyright violations -- you will be subject to a punitive tempban.

Please respond in this thread to indicate you understand.

Thank you.

I noticed your contribution this morning to Nice Guy and saw that you were having problems with links -- specifically, you were trying to include links in TV Tropes-style markup. As you noticed that doesn't work here, because we use MediaWiki and not PMWiki. I've corrected your example, so if you want to go back and look at it you'll see how the markup works. You might also want to look at our So You're a TV Tropes Refugee page, particularly the Editing Quick Start section.
