You're welcome.

Depends on what you want, exactly -- turn off spoilers entirely, or have them appear when you hover your mouse over them. Either way, the first step is the same: Go to your Preferences page ("Preferences" in the menu that runs across the top of pages in most skins), and choose the Gadgets tab.

If you want spoilers always displayed, check "Spoilers Off" and make sure "Hovering Spoiler Toggle" is unchecked.

If you want spoilers to appear when you mouse over them, check "Hovering Spoiler Toggle" and make sure "Spoilers Off" is unchecked.

Then click the "Save" button at the bottom of the page.

Would this happen to be something that looks like a panel with six or round buttons? If so that's a wiki tool that appears on new pages and for reasons I'm really not that sure about also pops up on random other pages. If it bothers you too much, you can reposition it or hide it entirely.

I'm not sure what you're asking. Since a major blow up some years ago involving toxic users and a toxic mod, that resulted in the userbase voting to lock it and remove its examples and the mod quitting in a huff, the entire community has tended to stay away from Complete Monster. The page doesn't get examples, period, although citing it on work pages still goes. And I don't know why you even ask about Incorruptible Pure Pureness -- is this another TVT "swat a fly with a sledgehammer" thing that happened after the fork? IPP has never needed that kind of attention here. It's just another trope.

Oh, and regarding your "friend" offer -- thank you, but the friend/foe stuff is an undesired feature of a wiki subsystem we find otherwise very useful, and which we can't disable separately from the rest. We (the mods, that is) tend to stay away from it because of past abuse/misuse. It has nothing to do with you as a user, and it shows no animosity toward you on my part, but because of that I won't be accepting. I'm sorry.

My apologies, but both Rob and I don't always get to the Mod queue as fast as we can. It's been very large the last few weeks, which has also contributed to the slowness. I should note that your revision pushed the page back up the queue. However, it's close enough to the front of the line that the next time Rob or I have the time to do five or six pages it will be handled.

Because I felt that as a parenthetical or separate sentence it broke the flow of the passage.

We've confirmed that the filter you tripped is a global one. However, in reading the logs they report that the only action taken on your edits was to "warn". A quick glance at the queued edit for Grandfather Clause shows that all your content is there -- it wasn't prevented from being submitted. Perhaps you're misunderstanding the Moderation system? Until a user proves their bona fides with a history of good edits, their contributions are queued up for Moderator approval before they get applied to the wiki. We use the Mod system to block spammers and vandals, which we have had some substantial problems with in the past. All the edits you made are in the queue waiting for review; unfortunately right now the mods have been busy and haven't been able to provide the kind of turnaround we normally try to give on new edits.

And in checking logs and our long-standing set of filters, it definitely looks like it might be something happening on a higher level. Certainly your text appears to be innocuous, and we have no problems with external links. We'll keep you informed as to what we find out. (Oh, and I checked the email given on the Contact Us page. I was able to send a message to it with no problem.)

Okay, I've passed that on to the other mods. The suggestion has been made that with the transfer of the Miraheze wiki farm at the start of the year to WikiTide, there may be a global abuse filter we are unaware of. We're looking into it.

I honestly couldn't tell you, not without seeing the specific edits you were trying to make. It's many been years since we had a complaint about the abuse filter, and last I knew it was pretty relaxed. If you know what the filter flagged, send it and its context to the address I have on All The Tropes:Contact us, and we'll take a look. Okay?
