However, when twins are born over the course of the story (as part of a Babies Ever After or otherwise), they are almost always male and female fraternal twins. While this is common in Real Life, most actual fraternal twins are born in same-sex pairs. (Identical twins always are, of course; applying this trope to a pair of identical twins is a Critical Research Failure.) |
