  • Alternative Character Interpretation: This work has been particularly good about being fair and balanced in character interpretation (but some bias inevitably creeps into the narration).
  • Complete Monster: Some of the lore characters from WoW are presented or interpreted this way. Edwin Van Cleef and Illidan both become this; whatever sympathetic motivations they might have had are outweighed by their horrific actions. Destron also considers Orgrim Doomhammer a Complete Monster, and doesn’t think that Thrall should have named the orcish capital after him.
  • Ensemble Darkhorse: Vyldra, a vrykul warrior that Destron encounters a few times, seemed to be one of the more popular side characters.
  • The Woobie: Balaa, in the Azuremyst Isle chapter, stands out.
