The Return of the King (animation)/YMMV
- Anvilicious: In case you miss the deeper meaning in any particular part of the movie, there's usually a song to explain it to you. Or two. Or three. See the page quote for a good example.
- Crowning Music of Awesome: Orcs groove out to the funky bass riffs of Where There's a Whip, There's a Way, proving once again they are Tolkien's only characters that believe in the Power of Rock (along with the efficacy of torture).
- The terrible things they say these days about orcs... they even say that Disco is dead? Disco is Life!
- "The bearer of the ring, the wearer of the ring, he hears a voice compelling him..."
- "You are standing in the eye of the storm! Move an inch, and you'll be dead..."
- Cult Classic: Almost in spite of itself.
- Designated Hero: Aragorn. Apparently he was just off doing his own thing with nothing to do with the rest of the party, and doesn't even help in the Siege of Gondor as the Orcs were already retreating by the time he arrived. He's rude to Ganbdalf, sneering at him while taunting him over his reluctance to march on Mordor, a move motivated not to buy time for Frodo but because he thinks they have Sauron on the run. And despite doing nothing to help, almost getting his army killed and being a rude prick he's still cleebrated as the saviour at the end.
- Ear Worm: Where There's A Whip There's a Way. "I can't! I can't continue!" I'd rather be singin' a good old hobbit song myself...
- Ho Yay: Some. But with Frodo and Samwise, can you expect anything less?
- Narm: The entire film, especially the songs.
- Narm Charm: "BEHOLD! THE GARDENS OF MY DELIGHT!!" Aww... Dark Lord Samwise is so cute.
