Kato either is or is related to Short Round from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.

• Now hear me out, the only problem is the time, but they are both Chinese and both show martial arts expertise.
  • Short Round was in his preteens when he was with Indy in 1935, and Kato appeared to be in his late 20s in 2011, so probably 2 or 3 generations away from short round.
    • Note which work we're talking about -- the radio show which ran from 1936 to 1952. The 2011 movie is covered by a different page entirely. Given that the radio show started in 1936 with an adult Kato, though, it's unlikely he's Short Round.
