The Gate to Women's Country/YMMV

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • Alternate Character Interpretation: It's strongly implied that Myra is the way she is because her father has a history of siring rebellious brats, including Chernon. On the other hand, she's the only one of Morgot's children who isn't Joshua's as well, making her a literal Redheaded Stepchild. On top of that, she was sired artificially, without Morgot's knowledge or consent, by a stranger with a bad track record. It's quite possible that on some level, Morgot and Joshua didn't love her as much as the kids they had together. Since we only see the family through Stavia's eyes, there's no way to be sure.
  • Crowning Moment of Awesome: Septemius Bird's rescue plan.
  • Squick: Plenty, with special mention going to the prostitutes' medical exam and Firstborn Brome's marital relations.
