• Crowning Moment of Awesome: Claidi finally confronts Twilight Star - the woman who was responsible for her hellish life at the House and her almost-hellish life at the Wolf Tower, who had her and her fiance abducted in an attempt to "breed" them and then makes a very serious attempt on Claidi's life - and what does Claidi, who finally has this evil woman at her mercy, do? Essentially, she says "Piss off," takes great care to stain the carpet, and leaves without another word.
• Mary Sue: Winter may very well be a parody.
• Strangled by the Red String: Winter is supposed to marry either Argul or Venn. Argul's charm that tells him if a girl is "the one" for him was supposed to only respond to her.
• Tear Jerker: One occurs for Claidi and the readers, as she dwells on her ruined wedding.
• Uncanny Valley: Claidi describes many of the mechanical servants like this.
