The Butcher's Boy

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

The Butcher's Boy is the No Name Given Hitman and Villain Protagonist from Thomas Perry's first novel of the same name, He is a sociopathic, amoral killer and Badass of considerable ability who has to evade both government agents and Mafia thugs when a Mafia boss orders a Contract on the Hitman after a underling hires the hitman to do a kill on a U.S. Senator without the knowledge of the boss. He is also the Retired Badass in Perry's sequel Sleeping Dogs.

The Butcher's Boy got his nickname when, as a child, he became the "adopted" son of Eddie, a part-time butcher and Mafia hitman who took the boy along on hits as part of his disguise and for companionship. He subsequently taught the boy the trade of being a successful hitman.
