Description
This template is similar to the {{trope}} template, but is used to flag those pages which fall in the grey area where {{trope}} and {{Useful Notes}} overlap, describing more how we work with tropes within the wiki than describing a particular trope.
Syntax
Place {{meta-trope}} at the top of the article. This makes a bar that looks like this:


Options
{{meta-trope}} is functionally identical to {{trope}} and has all the same options:
With a page parameter, specify a particular parent page to display the template for. Potentially useful for subpages of subtropes, but mainly done for parallelism with {{work}}. This is what {{meta-trope|page=Tropes Are Flexible}} produces:


With a wppage parameter, specify a particular Wikipedia article to link to. This is useful for when Wikipedia has an article on the subject in question, but its title doesn't match up. This is what {{meta-trope|wppage=Chintzware}} produces:
