We want to call them Ignored Expositor and Some Laymanning Required

The first trope is somebody complaining that nobody told them something when the complainer wasn't paying attention.

The second trope is somebody complaining that somebody else was using Sesquipedalian Loquaciousness and needed a third person to translate the second person's words into plain English (or whatever).

I would prefer to rename both tropes, and keep "Why Didn't You Just Say So?" as a disambiguation page.

Does anyone have any ideas for names for the two new pages?

That would work, keep both and use a as a disambiguation page.

To start the name ball rolling, how about:

"Hand didn't pass it on" for the first one (implying the person had been talking to the hand)?

For the second, "Why didn't you expo the techno?" or "Call a geoponicator a spade"?

My suggestions: "Ignored Expositor" for the first, "Some Laymanning Required" for the second.

I like those. They both have a classic trope name feel to them.

We have consensus on splitting the page into two tropes and keeping this page as a disambiguation page.

As for the names of the two new pages, we have two suggestions: Haggishunter's and GentlemensDame883's. I admit to a preference for GentlemensDame883's suggestions, but we don't have a consensus yet.

@HeneryVII and @GethN7 you voted before either of the suggestions for names were made. Do either of you have a preference?
