Putting this up for a launch vote. I think at the moment we've got about as many examples as we can gather, which is more than our minimum, if not the ten we prefer for admin-proposed tropes. However, this is a fairly rare trope -- not quite Too Rare to Trope, but rare enough that I don't think we're going to get any more examples any time soon. In all other ways it's ready for prime time. So I move we kick it out the door and let the Wiki Magic find any other examples that may be out there which we've overlooked.
