Silent Night, Deadly Night/YMMV

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • Alas, Poor Villain: Sister Margaret's reaction to Billy's death at the end of the first film.
  • Non Sequitur Scene: The ending of Better Watch Out!
  • Complete Monster: The Santa Claus robber who killed Billy and Ricky's parents.
  • Ear Worm:
  • Memetic Mutation: GARBAGE DAY! HA! HA! HA!
    • Also, to smaller extent: MBOOO! YEAAAHHH!
  • Narm: A lot. Pretty much all of Part 2.
    • The "soundtrack composer having a seizure while playing keyboards" moment from the ending of the first one.
  • Nightmare Fuel:
    • Being raped by Clint Howard (in Initiation) may well be the most horrific concept in the entire series.
    • The scene there the crazy grandpa tells little Billy the story about Santa Claus and how he punish naughty children. They made that scene so scaringly good that you actually believes his story and that it's the real Santa that is gonna be the killer.
  • No Such Thing as Bad Publicity: The original film's distributors milked the controversy it caused for all it's worth.
  • Padding: Half of Silent Night, Deadly Night II is the first film.
  • Sequelitis
  • So Bad It's Good: Part 2 definitely counts as this, if only for Eric Freeman's rather unique brand of acting.
  • Squick: Pino's little episode near the end of The Toy Maker, when he starts frantically dry humping Sarah while screaming "I love you, mommy!" Noah was also giving off pedophilic vibes before its revealed the reason he's so interested in Derek is because he's his biological father.
    • At least one review of Better Watch Out! noted that Chris's girlfriend looked a lot like his sister...
  • What Do You Mean It's Not for Kids?: Just because its a film about Santa, think it's for kids? Heck no it isnt, and the people who saw this movie with their kids need some serious parenting lessons.
