SLiDE
SLiDE is a 2011 Australian TV series focusing on the lives of five teenagers, set in Brisbane. Similar to Skins but set in Australia. The five main character are the nerdy Ed, his girl-next-door best friend Tammy, sexy newcomer Scarlett, angsty outsider Eva and school hunk Luke.

- Betty and Veronica: Scarlett and Tammy for Luke. Scarlett is the sexy brunette looking for a casual hookup, Tammy the girl next door with Tsundere tendencies. Luke, the attractive playboy and Ed, the Adorkable boy-next-door for Tammy.
- Bi the Way: Ed, possibly Scarlett.
- Book and Switch: Scarlett pulls one in order to hide that she's studying by putting her text inside a fashion magazine. Caught out by Eva.
- Bratty Teenage Daughter: Scarlett, but her parents don't seem to treat too nicely either.
- The Casanova: Luke is certainly implied to be the high-school version.
- Chekhov's Gun: The video Phillipa took of her and Ed. Bonus points for the fact it comes back in an episode full of Chekhov references and allusions.
- Cloudcuckoolander: Phillipa.
- Disappeared Dad: Tammy.
- The Ditz: Scarlett. Subverted later when she's shown desperately studying under the cover of pretending to read a fashion magazine.
- Girl Next Door: Tammy.
- Lonely Rich Kid: Scarlett. Especially in the first episode.
- Lovable Alpha Bitch: Scarlett.
- Missing Mom: Scarlett, whose mother sends her away to live with her father.
- Mistaken for Gay: In episode six, a doctor thinks Ed and Luke are a couple.
- Nature Abhors a Virgin: Ed's virginity is a major talking point in the first episode. By the end of the fourth, he's already slept with two girls.
- Obfuscating Stupidity: Luke.
- Parental Abandonment: Luke's parents died in a car crash when he was 12.
- Promotion to Parent: Luke's older brother.
- Rich Bitch: Scarlett.
