Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • And the Fandom Rejoiced:
    • When it was revealed that Jörn Heitmann, (director of no less than six Rammstein videos, including favorites "Sonne", "Ich Will", "Keine Lust" and "Ohne Dich") would be directing "Haifisch". And he delivered.
    • Holy shit, they're coming back to the US after more than ten years!
    • A lot of fans were pleased when Schneider reprised his "Frau Schneider" role for the Made in Germany tour.
  • Awesome Music: For starters, "Feuer Frei" and "Ohne Dich".
    • The trailer for Hellboy 2 had its epicness enhanced by the judicious use of "Mein Herz Brennt".
    • Also, the entirety of Live Aus Berlin and Völkerball. MUST see for any Rammstein fan.
  • Crazy Awesome: All of them.
  • Crosses the Line Twice: Many of their videos, but especially "Pussy".
  • Ear Worm: You've got a pussy! I have a dickah!
    • Duuuu... Du Hast.... Du Hast mich...
    • Links...Links...Links! Zwo! Drei! Vier!
  • Epic Riff: "Links 2-3-4", "Sehnsucht", "Tier", and the list goes on and on.
  • Epileptic Trees: There's a theory which says that "Haifisch" is their swan song, and that the band will break up. We shall see.
  • Even Better Sequel: In America, anyway. Sehnsucht (namely the song "Du Hast") was what put Rammstein on the map in America, and "Du Hast" is still the song most Americans remember Rammstein for (thanks in part to Guitar Hero 5).
  • Funny Moments: See the page.
  • Germans Love David Hasselhoff: They have an insanely huge foreign fanbase.

"We have such a bad reputation in Germany it can’t get any worse elsewhere."

  • Heartwarming Moments: The video for "Ohne Dich". There's also this. Especially keeping in mind Flake's status as The Chew Toy, this falls under Aw Look, They Really Do Give A Damn About Him
  • High Octane Nightmare Fuel: They wouldn't be Rammstein without it!
    • The video for "Mein Teil" depicts two members writhing around in pain, one wrestling his double, one being fellated by an angel and subsequently eating her wings, one performing ballet, and another dressed in drag (supposed to be the mother of the cannibal the song was about).
      • "Mein Teil", even without the video, is still a horribly frightening song. Lyrically, it concerns a real event of cannibalism that happened in Germany. And then there's the bridge, which is filled with distorted, backward screams.
    • "Dalai Lama". It's the combination of incredibly heavy riffing, ethereal keyboards, morbid subject matter and vocals.
    • The lyrics to "Stein um Stein" are, quite frankly, terrifying.
    • Also the lyrics to "Du Riechst So Gut" are disturbing. It's the ultimate Obsession Song with the stalkee getting raped by the stalker.
    • "Spieluhr" is about a child dying on purpose, getting buried and waking up in the grave.
  • Ho Yay:
    • These pictures and the naked man-orgy in the "Mann Gegen Mann" video are just some examples.
    • Till and Flake got arrested in Massachusetts for simulated sodomy on stage.
    • Paul has fantasies about Till-in-the-Snow-White-dress spanking him in the "Haifisch" video.
  • Internet Backdraft: Be warned about labeling Rammstein as a band of Nazis or, as a lesser example, arguing over the correct meaning of "Du Hast."
  • Misblamed: Jonas Akerlund, who directed the videos for "Pussy" and "Ich Tu Dir Weh", has directed some pretty damn good music videos in his career, such as Metallica's videos for their covers of "Turn The Page" and "Whiskey In The Jar," as well as Prodigy's infamous "Smack My Bitch Up" video. However, some fans of the band just didn't feel either of those videos were up to the quality expected of Rammstein music videos and blamed him. Granted, there is the mitigating circumstance that neither "Pussy" or "Ich tu dir weh" were that widely distributed, relegated to being hosted on a porn site ("Pussy" for obvious reasons, "Ich tu dir weh" because of the indexing), but this isn't the point.
  • Moment of Awesome: The videos for "Ich Will" and "Sonne" are considered by many fans to be Rammstein's greatest videos.
  • Tear Jerker: See the tearjerker page for this band.
  • They Changed It, Now It Sucks: Most of Rammstein's music videos had some sort of plot in the video. "Pussy" and "Ich tu dir weh"...did not. ("Pussy" was just gratuitous porn and "Ich tu dir weh" was a performance video.) They're already among the least liked videos. Hearing that the next video, "Haifisch", would go back to the normal formula had many fans breathing a sigh of relief.
  • The Woobie: One reason of why Flake is a fan favorite. He gets put through so much both on stage and in the music videos, he is either the Chew Toy or the Woobie to fans.
