Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • Complete Monster: Lynx, in some of the scenarios, at least. Burning down orphanages, mantaining a man in captivity until his mind degenerated into insanity or using his own daughter as sacrifice to invoke an evil force, just for a few examples of what he's capable of.
  • Cult Classic
  • Crowning Music of Awesome: Being scored by Yasunori Mitsuda (his second project), it should come as no surprise that the soundtrack is phenomenal. What is surprising is just how cinematic and atmospheric it manages to be, despite the limitations of its 16-bit hardware and SNES sound chip. Several of the best songs were alluded to or repackaged wholesale for Chrono Cross (see the Musical Nod entry on that page for more details), but some - such as "Days of Summer", "Final Confrontation", and "The Organ" - are unique to this game.
    • "Gale" counts as well, being vastly superior to its counterpart in Chrono Cross.
  • Tear Jerker: Quite a few of the stories have these, including the main one.
