  • Growing the Beard: the first season tried to emphasize the weak signal Commander Rick was getting by flashing all kinds of weird colors and shapes across the screen. By the second season, they scrapped the idea, and the show became much easier to watch.
  • MST3K Mantra: How does Commander Rick eat? Why would a communications satellite have space and equipment for someone to live there? It's never adressed, and it doesn't really matter anyways
