- Adaptation Displacement: The anime was subbed and dubbed on English, officially, while the VN never was even partially fan--translated. Obviously, the anime is much more known.
- Complete Monster: Ryuji.
- Fetish Fuel or Fetish Retardant, depending on whom you ask.
- Fridge Logic: Hospitals do have night shifts. How come nobody hears all those screams?
- Could be because of where in the hospital they are.
- Moral Event Horizon: Ryuji passes this pretty much every five minutes or so.
- Sequelitis: Averted, surprisingly. 2 and 3 were as well received as the sequel in Japan, according to Erogamescape, where all have the same score of 70. However, the visual novel market had expanded so much by 2004 they didn't make as much impact as the first.
- Squick: Oh holy god in heaven the squick...
- A number of reviews have declared that they will never be able to eat eggs again. That's about as mild as the show gets, too.
