Mist: The Tale of a Sheepdog Puppy is a British family television film following the life of a border collie puppy as she grows up to become a working Herding dog. Part fiction, part documentary, it was filmed by real-life shepherd David Kennard on his farm in Devon.
Three sheepdog puppies are born in a barn, and one (Mist) becomes a sheepdog. Her siblings (Drift and Mist) go to other homes, while she joins the sheepdog group. Then sour great-aunt Fern tries to get her to herd rams, which is forbidden, before they manage to herd a ram together.
Sound cliche? It is. And it works.
