Ginga/Gingka Hagane

• Big Brother Mentor: To Kenta.

  • Which would be Awesome but Impractical if this wasn't a cartoon. It is, theoretically, incredibly easy to dodge such an attack, unless your beyblade is stuck, which was what happened to Hyoma.
  • Actually, it isn't. The opponent has no idea which direction Pegasis is coming from, hence, the opponent has no idea where to go to dodge the attack.

Masamune Kadoya

• Almighty Janitor: Was never in any real tournaments, including the Survival Battle, or Battle Bladers before the World Tournament. He's still quite the blader.

• Determinator: After spending an entire episode losing miserably to Ginga, but kept coming back until he won and training as hard as he could.
• Cute Bruiser: A rare male example.
• Jerk with a Heart of Gold: For all his boasting and snarkiness, he's a nice guy.
• Large Ham: Definitely.
• Mouthy Kid: Has no trouble making snarky comments at his opponent's expense.
• Shock and Awe: His preferred type of attack moves.
• To Be a Master: How many times has he exclaimed that he's going to beat Ginga/ whatever opponent he has, or that he/Gan Gan is/are number one? Exactly.
• Unicorn: His bey.
• Unknown Rival: To Ginga at first, as Ginga really has no idea who he is and his presently uncontrollable Super Prototype has him preoccupided at the moment. Most of the episode consists of him getting curbstompped by Galaxy Pegasus. It's only towards the end when Ginga reconizes something in him and he manages to beat Galaxy Pegasus that he manages to earn proper The Rival status.

• Karmic Death: Kept trying to feed people to Ryuga and L-Drago to increase their power. In the end, Ryuga kills him by sucking out all of his.
• Killed Off for Real: Ryuga sucks out all of his energy after he's beaten by Phoenix.
• Noodle Incident: Whatever was that caused his hatred of cactuses is never explained properly. Yu doesn't seem to want to know either.
• You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: Ryuga killed him because, in his view, he didn't need his help to get more power anymore.

Ryuga

• Big Bad
• Big Damn Heroes: Came to the rescue of Gan Gan Galaxy when Tsubasa and Yu got injured.
  • And again, albeit unintentionally, he rescued Ginga and Masamune from the black hole they were stuck in when he fired his beyblade at Hades City. On the other hand, it almost blew them up.
• Demonic Possession: His cruelty and evil is a result of L-Drago's power over him. L-Drago can completely possess him as well.
• Devour the Dragon: Had a habit of doing this. Finally turned on Doji and absorbed all of his energy in order to power up L-Drago, killing him in the anime.
• Eviler Than Thou: Does this to Doji, turning on him and sucking out all of his energy, killing him.
• Evil Is Not a Toy: There's a very good reason L-Drago was called the "Forbidden Bey". Ryuga wasn't aware of the fact that L-Drago was really the one using him, and on a few occasions, L-Drago possesses Ryuga, which normally leads to Body Horror.
• Evil Weapon: L-Drago.

  • When Ginga delivers a Shut UP, Hannibal to him in their match and proves he isn't afraid of him, Reiji finds the tables turned and loses it completely, but in a different way than his previous breakdown. Instead of going berserk, he is ultimately becoming overwelmed by his own fear to the point his Taken for Granite power is turned on him.
