  • Non Sequitur Scene: The musical number "Stay One Step Ahead" has a chorus sung by a group of very strange creatures that appear out of nowhere just for that song. Afterward, they jump into a television set, disappear, and no one speaks of that strange scene again.
  • Crowning Music of Awesome: The title song, sung by Ethel Ennis. Also the extremely catchy "Stay One Step Ahead".
  • Values Dissonance: It is a bit disquieting to see Francesca fall for Felix, directly after he has slapped her to quell her "hysteria."
