When MacGruber goes to recruit his old crew he visits Brick only to find out that he is Gay and has a partner. He crosses his name aggressively. On the surface it looks like Classic MacGruber being homophobic as pointed out in many of his theme songs on SNL. However, Brick and his partner is seen at his wedding with Vicky, showing they are still friends despite that. This takes on a whole new meaning. MacGruber wants to take down Cunth, because Cunth killed his first fiance, Casey. So one could think, that MacGruber was just faking the homophobia at this instance because he didn't want to risk Brick dying and another couple's lives ruined as a result.
