- About the point Iris and Zoey finally start warming up to the idea of being sisters, an Alpha Bitch starts giving Zoey shit over her delinquency and telling her she might as well drop out. To the surprise of everyone, Iris (who had been a Shrinking Violet since the start of the story) has her backbone grown three sizes as she gives the Alpha Bitch a scathing rebuttal, prompting the girl to leave in a huff, to the amazement of everyone else and Zoey's astonishment.
- And when Iris notices, Zoey is even more stunned when Iris, who she had initially told off as someone she refused to see as sister because of a mere blood tie, tells her that she put herself on the firing line for her sister because she was family, and even if it put her on the firing line, it was Worth It.
