• Draco in Leather Pants: Kuwana/Kitakata is a Bully Hunter that hunts bullies that specifically cause their victims to try to commit suicide. Therefore, it's very easy to cheer for him, and too easy to forget he is still an Serial Killer that waited until people like Mamiya had families and careers to destroy that he blackmailed them to help in those murders, instead of exposing them immediately when he discovered they were bullying Mitsuru. It's a common fandom meme in both the anglophile world and Japan to say that Sawa's murder is Yagami's only argument against him, when Yagami is no less approving of his homicidal ways.
• Memetic Mutation: "But what about Sawa-sensei?/Sawa-sensei bot/Sawa-sensei deck". Respectively, the anglophile and Japanese version of a meme about Yagami's constant habit of bringing up Sawa in the later parts of the game against the antagonists. Because she was murdered as a consequence of their actions.
