Kidz Bop/YMMV

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • Acceptable Targets: The Internet, especially people over 10 and under 40, LOVES to complain about them.
  • Accidental Innuendo: Their take on Cascada's "Evacuate the Dancefloor" changes "Can't stop 'cause it feels like an overdose" with "Can't stop 'cause it feels like it's getting close". If anything, the new version is dirtier.
  • Creator's Pet: Razor and Tie, their label, has released 21 compilations (and counting!) bearing their name, some of which date back over ten years.
  • Ear Worm: Many of the original songs that are covered. It's probably why Kidz Bop exists in the first place.
  • Narm: Many of the altered lyrics. The ones linked to all came from one album alone.
  • Nausea Fuel: Their version of "Not A Bad Thing" by Justin Timberlake from album 26 sounds a little bit disgusting, especially when they say "'Cause you might look around and find your dreams come true with me." You can't drink Sprite while listening to that!
  • Periphery Demographic: The band's music is aimed at kids, but there are a lot of people between 10 and 40 that listen to their music.
  • Retroactive Recognition: Many famous singers or celebrities who were once Kidz Bop Kids include Becky G, Ross Lynch, Dana Vaughns, Jaysen Thomkins, etc. The latter of whom is the developer of The Clyde Erwin Show.
  • Tastes Like Diabetes: In stark contrast to the originals.
