  • Episode 2. Not long before her disappearance, Eureka dyed her hair and tells her crying son that she's sorry. To call that flashback and the effects her departure had on Ao sobering would be an understatement.
  • Speaking of which, the discrimination Ao and his mother face in Okinawa. GOOD LORD.
  • Near the end of episode 3, we see the photo Ao stole from his adopted grandpa. It's Eureka with black dyed hair, holding her baby in her arms and looking happier than ever. As the Nirvash starts up, Ao tears up and is relieved that his mother remembered her son.

Ao: "I see...you remembered me this entire time..."

  • Chief Bruno's death, as well as his conclusion about the Iwato Island incident.

Never let children die!!

  • For those who have seen the original anime: In episode 8, Ao outright states he wants to beat up his father. Ouch.
