  • Fridge Logic: The construction workers have every legal right to come in and bulldoze the camp. Ernest and the kids are technically guilty of all sorts of assault with potentially deadly weapons.
    • This is something Ernest and the kids don't care about. However, in the case of the miners, they attempt to do so over young children so no court in the world will convict Ernest and company of doing anything wrong. Let's not even get into the fact that the Chief's daughter is challenging it in court.
    • Krader himself actually attempts to shoot Ernest in cold blood, in front of dozens of witnesses.
