Claudia Lee Black (born on October 11, 1972) is an Australian actress who is best known for her Science Fiction roles, most notably as Aeryn Sun in Farscape (for which she won a Saturn Award) and Vala Mal Doran in Stargate SG-1. Though primarily a television actress, she has had starring roles in Queen of the Damned and Pitch Black. Before she established her cred as a sci-fi Action Girl, spotting Black's screen credit was a telltale sign of Australia Doubling.

Since then, Black has popped up in numerous television appearances -- usually as a Fake American -- including NCIS (as a Biker Babe) and The Dresden Files. Though her natural accent is criminally underused on North American TV, it should be immediately recognizable to geeks of all stripes. Black has a formidable résumé of voice credits, including Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Uncharted, and God of War.

She also plays a mean guitar.
