Crowning Moment of Awesome: Being the greatest drinker in the history of mankind.
Crowning Moment of Funny: Bobby Heenan recalls a story during the feud between André and the Ultimate Warrior. The two had a spot where Warrior would clothesline André into the ropes so that his arms would get trapped (a spot André loved doing), but Warrior kept hitting André too hard. After a couple nights of putting up with this, André got fed up. When the spot came the next night, André just stuck out his fist and let Warrior smack into it at full steam. After that, Warrior learned not to fuck around with Andre the Giant.

Bobby Heenan: Then he says to me, "He will learn. He will learn."

- While living in France André was able to drive a car by sticking his head out of the sunroof.
Jerkass: According to several people who had worked with Andre, he could be a real asshole to people he didn't like, deservedly or not. He was also allegedly kind of racist towards black wrestlers.
Memetic Mutation: "Andre the Giant has a posse." A meme that started before the Internet.
Too Cool to Live: Died at the age of 47 due to heart failure; this was partially due to his enormous size.
Tear Jerker: once saved his brother's life by overturning the tractor he was stuck under. He said about it in his biography that "It's okay that I have this condition that's going to kill me, I now know that God had a plan for my size". Excuse us for a moment.
- In retrospect, watching many of Andre's later matches in the late '80s. His match against Hulk Hogan (in which he won his first and only WWF title) in 1988 was especially painful. At that point, he could barely move and could only manage a small handful of offensive moves, limited to punches and one or two bodyslams. At the time, audiences would have seen him as a typical slow and plodding big man, but with the knowledge of his medical condition now well known, it's easy (and heartbreaking) to see the pain that he goes through while performing.
What an Idiot!: Regarding the famous story of Andre scaring off some guys hassling him in a bar... one must wonder what sort of thought process led those geniuses to think hassling a 7"4" 516 pound wrestler would end well.
- It was in a bar. Common sense isn't very common in many bars.
