Tropes used in Ancient Domains of Insanity include:
- Black Market: Even higher prices than in the actual game.
- Curse: Travis is cursed (and doomed) so much that objects often fall on him, his spells will backfire and hit himself instead, healers who try to heal him will explode instead, etc. However, he is used to it and is able to dodge many of them.
