Windy X Windam/YMMV

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • Cliché Storm
  • Ensemble Darkhorse: Ashley, one of the very few characters who isn't lifted from an outside source. Some players have said they would like to see her as a playable character in a different (and hopefully much better) game.
  • Game Breaker: Ashley's special attacks hit multiple times in rapid succession, giving her foes no time to retaliate thanks to the broken combo system[1].
  • They Just Didn't Care: The initial press release for the English version of the game states that Windy was "based on a Japanese anime series", even though 1) the name of the series was never mentioned, and 2) Izuna and Shino, who got their start in their own video game series, are included in their box art. A revised press release was sent out just two weeks before the game's release, though the old description is still shown on most gaming websites (including Graffiti Entertainment's own site).
  • Tier-Induced Scrappy: Reath. She has weak melee damage, and the long range special attacks that she's more suited for take too long to set up and leave her vulnerable. Her level 1 super move, on the other hand, is disproportionately powerful, firing a stream of arrows that deal massive damage to the opponent, even when blocking.
  • Viewer Gender Confusion: Stin, the Bridget look-alike, is mistakenly identified as a female in the ending of the English translation (no one else mentions Stin's gender through conversation). Everywhere else, Stin is a male who just dresses funny.
  1. there is no lag time between hits, so if a multiple-hit attack lands, all subsequent hits will land no matter what
