• Hilarious in Hindsight: One of the observations Richard and Vanessa make is that the clothes look silly. Let's face it; their up-to-the-hilt 1970s fashions would look pretty silly to an actual twenty-first century citizen. This is almost certainly intentional, given that Newman was writing the story way after said 1970s clothes had long fallen out of fashion.
