Article description: (description ) This attribute controls the content of the description and og:description elements. | The Ultimate Fighter is a reality show that started in 2004 (on Spike TV until 2015, then produced by UFC), pitting up-and-coming Mixed Martial Arts fighters against one another in a tournament format for a contract(s) in the UFC. The show usually splits the contestants into two teams, each coached by a top UFC fighter. With the exception of Seasons 2 (Franklin and Hughes were friends and refused) and 4 (no head coaches), the coaches would then fight each other after the season was over, using the format to hype the fight (though technically, the coaches for 11 and 13 didn't fight either due to injuries). The show's 28th season ran in 2021. |
