Action Game

Platform Game

  • Mega Man (Classic)
    • Mega Man is an Enforced example; he coincidentally resembles Taizo with mecha arms and legs.
    • Proto Man, Cut Man, Quint, Mega Man Shadow, and Evil Mega Man?'s bodies are similar to Mega Man.
    • Ice Man, Time Man, and Oil Man, are Downplayed examples, as they have similar but not exactly the same bodies as Mega Man.
    • Top Man resembles Quick Man with wheels on his feet, a top on his head, no Arm Cannon, and an orange color.

Simulation Game

  • In Animal Crossing games, texture recolors are the only way to distinguish one villager with another of the same species. The later games have the occasional exceptions (like Drago, an alligator with frills and horns to invoke a dragon-like look), but the base design still remains the same.
