Tears of a Phoenix
Tears of a Phoenix was a Play By Post RPG in the forum of the open-source 3D dungeon-crawling game Egoboo.
The plot revolved around the country of Renegard, where half of the population, including the king, had fallen into a coma, Evil Chancellor Boartz became the new ruler and a quest for the feathers of a phoenix, which allegedly were able to cure the coma disease, was set up.
It can be found here, though a forum update broke the formating of the posts.
The player characters were:
- Katherine, a Bounty Hunter. Disappeared mid-game due to temporary absence of her player.
- Arianna, a former Necromancer, now atoning as a priest and healer.
- Gurtagh, a half-orcish warrior.
- Aranym, an elementalist constantly sliding from a Heroic BSOD to the next.
- Hans, a Pirate. Disappeared in the initial phase of the game, his player returned later with Alyss as a new character.
