In May 2002, roughly one year after the end of the Digimon Tamers TV show, fanfiction author Daneel Rush began working on a small Rukato project in an attempt to overcome the writer's block he was suffering over his Chosen series. What started out as a simple romantic comedy side project would soon evolve to become one of his most well known and in-depth series.
