This page have not been updated since 4 years ago, and I can add very useful information about the topic (though I still having to finish of reading the Guides to Editing). Why are there so many unupdated pages?

Looney Toons (talkcontribs)

We have a far smaller active user base, and each user or admin can only do so much (and some users are Single-Issue Wonks who only edit the same five or ten pages over and over again). Even ten years after we launched the wiki, we admins are still engaged in cleaning up content, stylistic and structural issues inherited from TV Tropes as well as adding what new content we can, but no one can consume all new works and refresh themselves on all older ones and generate new content for the wiki. And our copyright policy does not permit us to take the easy but illegal way out and copy TVT content wholesale.

("But didn't you do that to start with?" I know someone will ask. At the time that TVT was scraped and the fork created, it had a license explicitly allowing anyone to do so, which pissed Fast Eddie off no end when he realized he had no legal way to stop the fork and prompted his comment that Creative Commons permitted plagiarism. And IANAL, but if I'm not mistaken, TVT's current CC license still allows anyone to do the same, they just can't use the content so acquired for commercial purposes, which would technically still let us use their newer content, since we're explicitly non-profit and non-commercial. But there's the whole mess involving him unilaterally changing the site's license without getting the approval of every last contributor -- including the Fighteer Fan Club the banned ones -- which he was supposed to do by the rules of both licenses. Because of that, as far as we're concerned TVT's copyright status for the last decade has been uncertain and potentially toxic, and we just don't want to touch it.)

Anyway, if you can add info to any page, not just this one, please do so. Be aware that as a new user your edits are going to into the Moderation queue for one of the staff to review and approve before they actually appear in the wiki. This is something we've had to resort to thanks to vandals and spammers, and is no reflection on you. And if you make enough good edits over the next few weeks, you'll eventually be given membership in a group that bypasses moderation.

So go ahead, add anything you think you can to any page that catches your eye. This is a wiki, after all, and you don't need to ask permission, and you don't need to kiss Fighteer's feet to keep your account here. If you're not yet familiar with how we do things, here are a few pages you should check out as a first time editor:

The last one there has within it links to all our specific page-type guidelines and a few other pages you may find useful. We strongly recommend you give everything at least a quick glance.

We also strongly recommend you read How We Do Bans Around Here. This isn't a threat -- this is the wiki policy strictly controlling how and when user bans can be applied by an Admin (and when they can't). We want you to be aware that unlike TVT, we do not ban users on whims or because we're cranky.

Thanks. I will still reading the articles you indexed (I have already read some of them) to understand how to do this. Note: I understood the Fighteer reference. Note 2: I've been bussy this week and couldn't do anything here. I'll try to do something when I can.
