A while back in one of the forums, someone wanted to get rid of "the"s at the start of a bunch of trope names. I think with this trope removing the "The" from the name still leaves the definition very clear. Anyone have any objections to changing the name to "Gambling Addict"
Talk:Gambling Addict
I wouldn't change it, myself - it's a real-world phrase (unlike other tropes that start with "The", such as "The Spock").
But I won't stand in everyone else's way if I'm outvoted on this.
Workaholic is a realword term, and that trope doesn't have the The in front of it.
After a night to think on it, I think you're right. It's easier to write sentences when the definite article isn't in the way to make potholing necessary - for example, "He is a ((Gambling Addict))" instead of "He is a ((The Gambling Addict|gambling addict))".
the special move text or whatever thing is cool. I hope Admins can still do it even if they weren't the ones to move the page.
If by "special move text or whatever thing" you mean the mass link-update option, well... it doesn't work for admins, either.
I guess the redirect in use can do a satisfactory impersonation.
