For the note on "decimate", that is an obsolete definition of the word, and the definition as used in the quote has been around since the 19th century [1]. However, since there were no survivors, "destroyed" should have probably been used instead, so partially right. Based on this, I think the reference should be either removed, or changed to remove the obsolete definition.
