Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • Alas, Poor Villain: Mekum soils himself and begs for mercy when he comes face to face with Todd. Likewise, his lieutenants didn't deserve to be left on the planet (with both of them expressing dismay at Mekum's actions just before they're hauled off). All three of them justifiably freak out when they're left behind.
    • Mekum was a Complete Monster for ordering the slaughter of a peaceful village purely to get his genetically modified troops some "combat experience"... consisting of shooting men, women, and children that as far as he knew were completely and totally incapable of fighting back. The other two arguably shared in his guilt for this by doing nothing more to stop him than whining about it a bit. Who the hell would feel sorry for that bastard?
