Peter Benchley's Creature/Trivia

Hey, It's That Guy!: The TV movie has Kim Catrall as its female lead.
Rename: The original novel was called White Shark, and even though the monster of the book was not a great white shark, this made sense, as it was the creature's code name in english. When they went to make it into a TV movie, they decided to rename it the much more generic Creature, as the creature wasn't a Great White. This would make sense as otherwise the title would seem awfully odd to a viewer not familiar with the book. Fridge Logic sets in however, when you realize that they did indeed make the monster in this film part Great White Shark...
